  1. Log into the YouTube account and navigate to YouTube Studio by clicking on your profile icon.
  2. You will see a list of all published or draft videos by clicking “Videos” in the left panel.
  3. Tap on the vide’s title you want to edit.
  4. Click “Editor” on the left side of the screen. 
  5. Now click on the editor to open up the YouTube video editor.

How to Trim a YouTube Video

  1. Select the video you want to edit in the YouTube Studio video editor.

  3.  Set the start and endpoint of the video by moving blue bars on the left and right sides of the video timeline.
  4. Click “Preview” in the bar at the bottom of the screen to see the edits you’ve made.
  5. If you want to edit again, then click “Edit Trim” and select “Preview” to make further changes.
  6. Press “Save” at the top of the screen. Click the “Preview” button at the bottom of the screen to save changes.

How to cut a section out of the middle of a video

  1. Open the video in the YouTube Studio video editor.
  2. Select the video you want to edit and open it in the editor.
  3. Select “Trim” or “Edit Trim.” You’ll find this option under the video preview.
  4. Move the vertical blue bar in the timeline. It will select the start point.
  5. Press “Split” at the bottom of the screen in a bar.
  6. Drag the vertical bar across the timeline to the select start and end of the cut. You will see a dark section that identifies where the video will be cut.
  7. Click “Preview.” You’ll see the changes you’ve made.
  8. Click “Save.” to save the changes to the published video.

How to add blur effect in the YouTube video

You can also use the YouTube video editor to add the blur effects in the video.

  1. Open the video in the YouTube Studio video editor.
  2. Press “Add Blur” in the timeline. YouTube will switch the old Video Manager because this feature isn’t yet available on YouTube Studio (Beta).
  3. Click “Edit” opposite to “Blur Faces” or “Custom blurring.”
  4. If you want to blur faces, the editor will automatically scan for faces and blur them automatically.
  5. If you select the custom option, you can select the section in the video to blur.
  6. YouTube will move the bars around the screen to continue to cover the object even if it moves.
  7. Click “Save” when you’re done.
  8. Click “Return to YouTube Studio.” to end.

Adding text to YouTube videos is even simple. Just go to the “Text” tab and tick the box that says “Enable text.”

How to Add transitions to YouTube video

Adding transitions to YouTube videos makes them smoother. Simply go to the Transition tab and choose from 16 transition effects available there.

How to add “End Screen” to YouTube video.

You can tell your viewers to watch a related video, playlist, or just subscribe to your channel only by adding an end screen.

If you want to add an end screen, click “ADD AN END SCREEN” in your timeline panel.

This option gives you five End Screen templates to choose from, and you can also create one of your own from scratch.
